A few years ago Google Acquired an ad network called DoubleClick.   As of last month (September 09) Google has fully integrated their ads into DoubleClick.  I’m sure they will continue to tweak things over time, the ads have been fully integrated.

Since this integration many forum topics have opened up all over the net talking about how publisher’s Adsense earnings has dropped.  Many people are actually saying that their earnings have dropped drastically.  Here is one forum where people are talking about this: Google Integration Causes Decrease in Earnings

Have you notice a difference at all in your Google Adsense earnings?

There is actually a poll going on at SeoRoundTable and you can check it out at Google Adsense Poll

From my experiences so far my earnings have actually gone up, but there several people reporting that there earnings have gone done.  After you vote make sure you check out the voting results, pretty interesting.

In the internet marketing world you’ll hear a lot about the Clickbank affiliate program.  It seems like in every internet marketing course they talk about finding products on Clickbank to promote for your first affiliate project, but is this a good idea?

First let me tell you upfront that I have made a good bit of money promoting Clickbank products and I actually have some of my own clickbank products that I personally sell.  I tell you this because I might be a little biased, but I promise to give you honest feedback on both the pros and cons of the Clickbank Affiliate Program.

Clickbank Affiliate Program Pros

-It is has thousands of products to promote.  There are literally everything that you can imagine from ‘learning how to play the piano’ to books on ‘solar energy and using solar panels’.  This makes it really easy to monetize your site.

-This by far one of the most simple and easiest affiliate networks to use, which makes it great for beginners.

-Most of the programs and products you can promote provide really high commission percentages.  You can actually get up to 75% commissions on the products you promote.  Not too mention there are some products you can promote that have recurring billing so you make one sale and continue to get paid month after month.

-It is super easy to sell your own digital information products on Clickbank.  You can easily add your own products and than have affiliates promoting you product as well.

Clickbank Affiliate Program Cons

-Tracking and stats for the products you are promoting are pretty sub-par in comparison to other networks like Cj.com, Shareasale or Amazon.com.

Clickbank is getting better at this, but for the time being, it just isn’t that great.

-Since, there are a ton of products on Clickbank many of them honestly are of poor quality.

You will want to make sure you really research the products you are planning on promoting and I recommend you even buy them before you promote them.  This will allow you to make sure it is of high value and will give you an edge in promoting the products as most people don’t even buy the products they promote.

-Sometimes there are literally close to a thousand people promoting one product, which can make some products really competitive.

Even with these pros and cons, I think that the Clickbank Affiliate Program can be a great starting ground for any affiliate.

Also, it is an excellent way for advanced marketers to find new products to promote as well as ideas for creating their own information products.

You can learn more about the Clickbank Affiliate Program here.

If you are looking for physical products Clickbank does offer some products you can promote as an affiliate but most are in the skin care niche or are supplements.

If you look at the screenshot from the Clickbank Marketplace below you’ll see some of the offers available.  Notice with the red arrow you can now sort by physical offers too.

Generally if I’m looking for physical products I use Amazon, Sharasale, CJ, and private affiliate programs.  This is an example of a private affiliate program in the hair loss niche by a company called illumiflow.
