Did you know that an average 4 year old child laughs around 300 times a day!

An average adult laughs about 15 times a day!

Crazy, right?

As adults we literally have forgotten how to laugh.  It seems like our daily obligations, stresses, hobbies and activities have actually caused us to forget how to laugh.

How can that be when we always feel so much better when we do laugh?

Do you remember the last time you laughed so hard that you literally were crying? How did you feel after that? Pretty good I bet, right?

The last time I laughed until I cried was actually just a week or two ago when I was on the phone with a really good friend of mine and we were laughing for like 30 minutes.

Now how do you think I felt after that.  I felt incredible and I had a smile on my face the rest of the day.

So if that is the case why don’t we laugh more?  That is a good question and I don’t have a definite answer for you.  I actually think there are many things that cause us to stop laughing as much; work, school, weather, people, family just to name a few.  However, what I would like to focus on is what you can do to start enjoying life more with laughter.

First though I think this quote by William James says a lot.

“We don’t laugh because we are happy. We are happy because we laugh.”

So true.  That is why I am challenging you to start laughing more today.

Here are just a few things you can do to laugh more.

• Rent and buy some funny movies a classic one is Caddyshack with Chevy Chase
• Buy some humor books and have them around your home or apartment
• Go to a comedy club every now and then. Usually really cheap and usually hysterical

I promise you this if you start to make an effort to laugh more you will be happier and have less stress.  It is GUARANTEED!

A few years ago Google Acquired an ad network called DoubleClick.   As of last month (September 09) Google has fully integrated their ads into DoubleClick.  I’m sure they will continue to tweak things over time, the ads have been fully integrated.

I decided to write a quick blog post about internet marketing because I feel a lot of people don’t really understand it.

So what is internet marketing?

Internet marketing is pretty simple, but a lot of people just like to make it a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

Basically, internet marketing is the process of selling goods or services but doing so online.  You can own these goods or services or you can be affiliate to another persons goods and services.  So what is affiliate marketing.  Affiliate marketing is simply selling other people’s stuff online using internet marketing techniques or strategies.  That’s it.

Just like in a brick and mortar business you have a sales funnel online that at it’s simplest form has 3 important elements.

Online Sales Funnel

• At the top of the sales funnel you have Traffic
• In the middle you have a website
• At the bottom you have an offer/sales

You need to generate traffic (people) to a website and you need an offer/product that produces sales.  It really is that simple. If you compare this to say a brick and mortar store where you have people that come into your store or office from your marketing or just off the street.  Your location is like your website and than you sell them other people’s stuff that you had bought at a wholesale price.

The real big difference in the online world is that you need to spend all kinds of money on a store or an office location.  You store is simply your website or the site of the affiliate your promoting.  You don’t have to buy all kinds of product and ship it out (by any means you can wholesale product and than sell it online, but you don’t have to).  In internet marketing you can set up as many of these sites as you would like.  If you set up 5 sites and 2 don’t do anything you don’t really care because you haven’t spent tons of money on it.  You have just invested your time.

In the internet marketing world you’ll hear a lot about the Clickbank affiliate program.  It seems like in every internet marketing course they talk about finding products on Clickbank to promote for your first affiliate project, but is this a good idea?

-This by far one of the most simple and easiest affiliate networks to use, which makes it great for beginners.

-Most of the programs and products you can promote provide really high commission percentages.  You can actually get up to 75% commissions on the products you promote.  Not too mention there are some products you can promote that have recurring billing so you make one sale and continue to get paid month after month.

-It is super easy to sell your own digital information products on Clickbank.  You can easily add your own products and than have affiliates promoting you product as well.

Clickbank Affiliate Program Cons

-Tracking and stats for the products you are promoting are pretty sub par in comparison to other networks like Cj.com or Amazon.com.  Clickbank is getting better at this, but for the time being it just isn’t that great.

-Since, there are a ton of products on Clickbank many of them honestly suck.  You will want to make sure you really research the products you are planning on promoting and I recommend you even buy them before you promote them.  This will allow you to make sure it is of high value and will give you an edge in promoting the products as most people don’t even buy the products they promote.

-Sometimes there are literally close to a thousand people promoting one product, which can make some products really competitive.

Even with these pros and cons I think that the Clickbank Affiliate Program can be a great starting ground for any affiliate.  Also, it is an excellent way for advanced marketers to find new products to promote as well as ideas for creating their own information products.
